Physiology and Biophysics has a Nitrogen gas manifold system that supplies Zero Grade Nitrogen gas jets at every lab bench and to some of our tissue culture rooms.

The manifold system has two banks of 6 Nitrogen cylinders connected (6 active and 6 reserve). The Manifold room has excess tank storage for 12 additional backup cylinders.

The Tank manifolds are set up to automatically switch at a predetermined pressure level. A monitoring system is activated upon switching which generates an e-mail and text to notify lab personnel.

These Systems are maintained by assigned personnel. please contact the equipment Manager with any issues or questions related to our CO2 gas supply.
