Our Admissions Committee reviews each applicant holistically. There are no GPA or standardized test score minimums. An application is complete and ready for review when we have the following:
Application: Complete the online application. Please indicate that you are applying to the School of Medicine. In the “Program Details” section, please select:
Program: Medical Physiology (MS)
Transcripts: Scan and upload school-issued unofficial transcripts for ALL colleges and universities you have attended. If you have already graduated, your degree and conferral date must appear on your submitted documents. Electronic transcripts can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Standardized test score: We require one of the following tests: GRE general exam, MCAT, DAT, or PCAT. Self-report and upload your test-taker copy to your application. We recommend that students sit for the GRE if they haven’t taken any of these standardized tests yet. We do not recommend that students take the MCAT solely to apply to this program.
Résumé/ CV: Include your professional activities during and after college.
Two (2) Letters of Recommendation: We prefer that your letters of recommendation come from natural science faculty who can attest to your academic potential. An additional letter can come from a current or past supervisor, advisor, research mentor, etc. The online application will request your recommenders’ contact information for electronic submission. We can also accept letters via Interfolio sent to email@example.com.
Statement of Purpose: Explain how the Medical Physiology program can help you achieve your educational and career goals.
Academic Statement (optional): No more than 250 words explaining any academic issues in your record. These can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Application Fee: Pay the $50 application fee upon submission of your application.
International Applicants: If you are not a citizen of an English-speaking country or if your previous college or university degree was not taught primarily in English, please submit an English proficiency exam (IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE).
