MSMP Admissions

 

When to Apply

Thank you for your interest in the MS in Medical Physiology Program! Candidates can apply for entry for the spring, summer, or fall terms. We recommend applying early during the cycle and submitting supplemental application materials as soon as possible. Our Admissions Committee reviews applications and issues admissions decisions on a rolling basis. We look forward to reviewing your application!

Please note: We can guarantee an admissions decision for applicants who apply for a given term by the deadlines listed above. Late applications may be given consideration on a space-available basis.

International students needing a new visa are advised to apply as early as possible.

How to Apply

Our Admissions Committee reviews each applicant holistically. There are no GPA or standardized test score minimums. An application is complete and ready for review when we have the following:

  • Application: Complete the online application. Click Start New Application. Select 2024 School of Medicine 2024 and click Create Application.

    • In the Program Details section, please select:

      • Degree Type: Master’s
      • Program: Medical Physiology (MS)

  • Transcripts: Upload school-issued unofficial transcripts for ALL colleges and universities you have attended. If you have already graduated, your degree and conferral date must appear on your submitted documents. Electronic transcripts can be sent to msmpadmissions@case.edu. We recommend that students complete pre-requisite coursework they need to apply to the professional school programs of interest and at least the following:

    • One year of biology, physics, and English

    • Two years of chemistry including general and organic

  • Standardized test score (waivers available):

    • Applicants who have taken a GRE general exam, MCAT, DAT, PCAT: must self-report each attempt. Optional: upload copy of score report(s) for every attempt

    • Applicants who have NOT taken a GRE general exam, MCAT, DAT, PCAT: test score requirement can be waived 

  • Résumé/ CV: Include your professional activities during and after college.

  • Two (2) Letters of Recommendation: We prefer that your letters of recommendation come from natural science faculty who can attest to your academic potential in a rigorous graduate program. An additional letter can come from a current or past supervisor, advisor, research mentor, etc. The online application will request your recommenders’ contact information for electronic submission. We can also accept letters via Interfolio sent to msmpadmissions@case.edu.

  • Statement of Purpose: Explain how the Medical Physiology program can help you achieve your educational and career goals.

  • Academic Statement (optional): No more than 250 words explaining any academic issues in your record. These can be emailed to msmpadmissions@case.edu.

  • Application Fee: Pay the $50 application fee upon submission of your application.

  • International Applicants: If you are not a citizen of an English-speaking country or if your previous college or university degree was not taught primarily in English, please submit an English proficiency exam (IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE).
