Research Interests

The long-term goal of the Fu lab is to understand the logic of cell signaling in inflammation, cancer biology, and neurodegeneration. The lab’s current focus is on lysosomal signaling, which plays critical roles in immunity, cell metabolism, as well as neurodegeneration. The lab is using multidisciplinary approaches including biochemical reconstitution, cryo-electron microscopy, X-ray crystallography, cell biology and pharmacology to reveal the assembly and regulation of lysosomal signaling proteins.
