The primary focus of the D’Agostino laboratory is developing and testing metabolic-based therapies, including ketogenic diets, ketone supplements and metabolic-based drugs. The laboratory uses in vivo and in vitro techniques to understand the physiological, cellular and molecular mechanism of metabolic therapies. The lab’s research is supported by the Office of Naval Research (ONR), Department of Defense (DoD), private organizations, foundations and donations to the University of South Florida.
