Dr Anne Hamik is an Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr Hamik’s main area of research is the control of basic cell functions that regulate the inflammatory and pro-thrombotic state of blood vessels in the heart and elsewhere in the vascular tree. In particular, she studies the function of an endothelial cell transcription factor, KLF4, under homeostatic states such as laminar flow, and in pathological conditions such as hypoxia and inflammation.
