Core TA's: Katherine Tran, Ryan Baxter, Tosin Omowole, InKyoo Hwang
Medical Physiology Teaching Assistants are all current second year students or recent MSMP alumni. They are a diverse group of individuals who have all demonstrated their knowledge of physiology with exceptional academic performance throughout the core curriculum. MSMP TAs are instrumental in supporting the success of incoming students each year by holding regular office hours and study sessions, hosting recitations sessions, assisting with exam reviews, and providing endless support and guidance.
Katherine Tran, TA
Kay is from Napoleon, Ohio and has bounced around Ohio from Napoleon to Columbus and Cleveland. She graduated from The Ohio State University in 2021 with a Bachelor's in Biology and minor in Microbiology. She is passionate about the dental field and hopes to matriculate into the dental school after graduating from the MSMP in Fall 2024. She enjoys exploring new coffee shops and restaurants, reading, and water activities.
Ryan Baxter, TA
Ryan was born and raised in San Clemente, California. He later moved to Atlanta, Georgia to study at Georgia Tech, and he graduated from there with a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering in 2023. While in undergrad, Ryan enjoyed working as a student athletic trainer with the school's football team. Ryan began the MSMP program in 2023 and hopes to attend medical school after graduation. In his free time, Ryan enjoys his favorite sport teams and playing with his cat Cosmo.
Tosin Omowole
Tosin was born in Nigeria and immigrated to Georgia, where she attended The University of Georgia and majored in Biology. Following her college graduation, she enrolled in the MSMP program. She intends to graduate in the fall of 2024 and aspires to attend medical school afterwards. She enjoys cooking and trying various cuisines, decorating her living space, journaling, and exploring new cities.
InKyoo Hwang
InKyoo was born in Seoul, South Korea. He attended elementary school in Cincinnati, Ohio. InKyoo moved back to South Korea during middle school and returned to attend high school in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He attended Temple University, where he majored in Biochemistry. Following his college graduation in 2023 he enrolled in the MSMP program. He intends to graduate in spring 2024 and has aspirations of attending medical school.
